KARMA is a Multicultural Queer and Transgender Cabaret that is dedicated to providing a space for performers to showcase their art. KARMA not only offers support to the community by creating a residential space for performance, it insures that the artists are paid for their hard work, dedication, and love of their art. In this way artists are able to achieve their individual dreams and further themselves professionally in a supportive and loving environment. KARMA has it all, from burlesque, to drag kings. From bands to contortionists, poets to hip-hop artists. Past performers that have graced KARMA's stage have been: HARLEM SHAKE, JADE BLUE ECLIPSE, BARBARA HEREDIA, SHAWNA VIRAGO AND THE DEADLY NIGHTSHADE FAMILY, PRINCESS KENNEDY, THE DIAMOND DAGGERS, KATASTROPHE, THE TRANSFORMERS, and many, many more.
Nafis is the producer of KARMA, the Bay Areas hottest multicultural queer and trans cabaret club. She is a spoken word artist and activist first and foremost, but can be seen Djing at some of the local hot spots like The Lexington (for SPRUNG, 2nd Sat monthly) and El Rio (for FLING every Tuesday weekly). She is a poet, artisan, musician, jeweler, painter, and part time faux queen.
