Apollo (he/him) is a queer, trans administrative support professional, sociologist, and creative writer from the Bay Area. Using his experience in community-based research, advocacy, and grant administration, Apollo works to reduce administrative barriers, improve funding access and transparency, and increase the number of programs, experiences, and spaces by and for our communities. As the Finance & Operations Manager for Queer Cultural Center, Apollo is supporting the financial well-being and operational efficiency of QCC and its Fiscally Sponsored Projects.
Prior to joining QCC, Apollo coordinated the administration of the TGI Health & Wellness Fund at the California Department of Public Health. With support from the National Science Foundation, Apollo earned his M.A. in Sociology at Stanford University. During his graduate studies, Apollo served as a Graduate Public Service Fellow with the Stanford Haas Center for Public Service and a Junior Fellow with the Center for Applied Transgender Studies at Northwestern University. He was also the Advocacy Coordinator for Diversity and Inclusion in Stanford Sociology, where he led several campaigns to increase BIPOC graduate student recruitment and retention.
