DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again! Join QCC for our first public workshop of 2024! Breathe & Count: how artists can overcome math anxiety and get the tax breaks they deserve. We invite artists and creatives of all disciplines to join us for a workshop income tax for individual artists. The discussion will include record keeping\, IRS form 1040\, Schedule C\, self-employment schedules\, itemized deductions\, hobby losses\, and home offices. Let’s demystify taxes for artists! \nThis workshop is open to the general public. It is offered for free to all CQC1 applicants and cohort members. We ask all others who are able to pay a suggested donation of $10 to participate; no one turned away for lack of funds (NOTAFLOF). \nWhen: February 24 2024\, 11am-1pm PACIFIC TIME \nWhere: Zoom\, link delivered after registration \nLearning Objective: Understand your money in terms of the 3 accounting fundamentals every practicing/teaching artist should know: income (taxable\, reportable)\, expenses (deductible\, non-deductible)\, and estimated quarterly taxes.
