Vienna Alvarez (she/her):

I’m a multidisciplinary artist and arts administrator committed to amplifying queer, trans, and two-spirit BIPOC voices while cultivating transformative cultural experiences. Raised on the border of San Diego, California, and Tijuana, Mexico, I approach cultural work with adaptability, care and a deep respect for lived experience as knowledge.

Over the past seven years, I’ve worked at the intersection of creativity and strategy as a cultural producer, performer, and nonprofit leader. I bring expertise in event production, fundraising campaigns, strategic development, and nonprofit capacity building, supporting grassroots organizations in strengthening infrastructure while staying grounded in community values.

Currently, I serve as Production Manager at the Queer Cultural Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I lead the production of the National Queer Arts Festival. In this role, I provide long-term mentorship and guidance to artists, supporting them in developing and executing their projects, while managing all aspects of production and building strong relationships with artists, venues, contractors, and community partners. Through this work, I prioritize access, cultural responsiveness, and collaborative leadership, bringing strategic vision, precision, and care to everything I do.
