Income Taxes for Artists Workshop, Feb 2020

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

California Lawyers for the Arts and Queer Cultural Center invite artists and creatives of all disciplines to join us for an income tax workshop for individual artists. The discussion will include record keeping, IRS form 1040, Schedule C, self-employment schedules, itemized deductions, hobby losses, and home offices. Let’s demystify taxes for artists!

This workshop is a single evening and is being offered twice. The content in each session is the same.

California Lawyers for the Arts [CLA] is a non-profit organization founded in 1974 to provide legal services to artists and members of the innovative community. In 1987, Bay Area Lawyers for the Arts [BALA] joined forces with Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts-Los Angeles [VLA] to form California Lawyers for the Arts as a statewide organization. CLA provides lawyer referrals, alternative dispute resolution services, educational programs, and publications to people in the creative arts and arts organizations.
