Man Haters is a popular, award-winning comedy show featuring all women and queer comedians. Voted Best Comedy Show by the East Bay Express in 2016 and 2017, Man Haters has been featured in SF Sketchfest and recently made their TV debut on VICELAND’s “Funny How?” Hosted by local comedians Nori Reed and Dominique Gelin every fourth Thursday at the historic White Horse in Oakland. The show tours nationally with co-founder Irene Tu, an “artist on the brink of fame” (SF Chronicle) and one of the Bay Area’s best stand-up comedians (SFist). Learn more:


Irene Tu Irene Tu is a stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. In 2017, the San Francisco Chronicle singled her out as an “artist on the brink of fame,” on the heels of being named one of the “Bay Area’s 11 Best Stand Up Comedians” (SFist) and one of 20 “Women to Watch” (KQED). She has performed at numerous festivals including SF Sketchfest, Comedy Central’s Clusterfest, RIOT LA, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and Outside Lands. Irene has opened for comedians such as Patton Oswalt, W. Kamau Bell, Brian Posehn, Anthony Jeselnik, Gary Gulman, Judah Friedlander, Hari Kondabolu, and Aparna Nancherla. Nori Reed isn’t just a stand-up comic & writer based in Oakland, California. Nori is a lifestyle. When she isn’t perfecting her skin care routine or thinking about the devastating impact of U.S. imperialism, Nori regularly performs at the finest comedy spots in the San Francisco Bay Area. Nori has featured at SF Sketchfest and was recently awarded the 2019 Diversity in Comedy Writing Fellowship at Killing My Lobster SF. Currently she co-produces the multiple award-winning comedy show, Man Haters. Nori is not Japanese. Gelin Web
Nori Reed Dominique Gelin is a comedian and writer based in Oakland, California. She enjoys offering strong opinions on stupid things, -isms, and jerks. It’s all very fascinating. She has performed at the All Jane Comedy Festival, Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, KQED, and others. Dom is also an avid ice chewer.
