QueLACo launches the Queer Latino Arts Festival with a night of poetry and prose by queer Latinas & Latinos. Featuring writers including Tina D’Elia, Ray Ferrer, Storm Florez, Celestina Pearl, Leah Arellano, Exodus Williams and Jaime Cortez. Hosted by local chismosa and former Latina Hustle member Lito Sandoval. Co-produced by Ellas en Acción, Modern Times Bookstore and Quelaco.

Jaime Cortez is an artist and cultural worker based in Watsonville, CA. He is the founding editor of “Corpus” magazine and the groundbreaking anthology “Virgins, Guerrillas & Locas.” Jaime’s work has been included in numerous anthologies and journals, and his radio essays have been included on KQED’s perspectives series. Jaime will begin pursuing his MFA in studio art at UC Berkeley this fall.
