Free, open-air festival celebrates the birthday of the world’s first openly G/L/B/T music group — the San Francisco Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band.

Program:

11 a.m.

S.F. Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band (marching) with Cheer San Francisco, GAPA Chorus, Blackberri, Carla Lucero’s original opera “Wuornos” (selections).

Noon

Dixieland Dykes +3, Artists’ Alliance Against AIDS represented by Danny Scheie reading a Tony Kushner piece, Samuael Topiary, Tamela Fish’s original musical comedy “The Rainbow Room” (selections).

1 p.m.

Gay Iz Mir (klezmer music), Cheer San Francisco David Mills Monologue, S.F. Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band performs pops pieces.

2 p.m.

Tuffy Elderidge, Lawrence Ewing of Dance Through Time, Golden Gate Men’s Chorus, Theatre Rhinoceros

SF Lesbian/Gay Chorus, Dear Miss Diva performs selections from the Miss Diva Show, The Grand Drag Race featuring the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Trauma Flintstone & the Andrews Sisters, S.F. G/L/B/T FD Pride Parade & Celebration Committee Grand Finale featuring SF Lesbian/Gay Freedom Band’s clang-along 1812 Overture.
