Gay Asian Pacific Alliance (GAPA) is pleased to present Coming of Age: GAM in America, a multimedia arts exhibition featuring photography, written word and graphic design that explores what it means to be American when one is of Asian or Pacific Islander (API) heritage. GAPA hopes to promote cultural diversity within both the mainstream LGBT community and the larger Asian Pacific American population, while encouraging gay APIs to take control over how our images are presented. Coming of Age is being presented in collaboration with the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center as part of the United States of Asian America Festival 2005 and Queer Cultural Center as part of the National Queer Arts Festival.
