A monthly night of open mic erotica, erotic film screenings, burlesque, drag performances, spoken word, music and hip hop. June’s installment features spoken word by Cindy Emch & Jenn Collins and music from Blair Hansen; not to mention all of the fabulous erotica writers who will be stepping up to the open mic. Sizzle also screens Please Don’t Stop! from Sex Positive Productions (the video production arm of Good Vibrations). It depicts a workshop/discussion group on sexuality for lesbians of color. The documentary format is punctuated by explicit sex scenes illustrating the ideas being discussed. Somewhere between smut and sex-ed, Please Don’t Stop! is the first adult video with a cast and crew made up entirely of lesbians of color. Cast: Simone de la Getto, Hella Getto, Moyocoyotzin, Toni Sparrow, Trick Ready, Ursula Streams, and Celestina Meow Meow.

Femina Potens proudly presents SIZZLE, the monthly Bay Area award winning literary erotica series. SIZZLE heats up the Castro every month, merging internationally acclaimed queer and erotic authors with the Bay Area’s top emerging local writers, spoken word artists and performers. SIZZLES‘s open mic performances regularly reveal the bravest, hottest, most eclectic performers that the Bay Area has to offer. Femina Potens will host a Q&A panel with authors and performers after the reading, and dares all to cultivate dialog and tap into the creative process of the wordsmiths and sexy geniuses in our communities. www.feminapotens.org
