The Cockettes – Blair Paltridge

BLAIR PALTRIDGE

Blair Paltridge photographed The Cockettes in some of their early theatrical productions. This laid the groundwork for his fine photography and scholarly research in Mexican Art History. Blair was one of the earlier editors of the San Francisco Bay Guardian. He once ran an autoerotic poem in the underground publication Open Process, by an anarchist student under the pen name of Jefferson Fuck Poland. This resulted in his temporary suspension from SFSU. Blair was re-instead after the American Civil Liberties Union intervened.
