Discover KUMALICIOUS, celebrating the allure and beauty of Queer bigger men of color inspired by Gay Japanese Manga. The exhibiting artists are inspired by this genre and/or its canon artists including Jiraiya and Gengoroh Tagame. From gachimuchi (“chubby muscle”) to BDSM eroticism, enjoy rare glances at works highlighting underrepresented populations often neglected in mainstream art.
KUMALICIOUS exhibits at the 2016 Queer Comics Expo. Join us for an exclusive panel discussion featuring Queer comic book experts and select participating artists. Don’t forget our Father’s Day “Daddy”-themed Drink n’ Draw!
Head curator E. Salvador Hernandez is founder of the Bay Area QMFD/Queer Male Figure Draw and former Art Director for Bent-Con, an LA-based Queer comics/pop culture convention.
