Illness and disease are common battles that many people are facing-whether HIV, AIDS or Cancer—and the cures that have been thought of as bad as the disease itself (AZT/Chemotherapy) are finally giving way to the new designer cocktails and better medicines.  But the economics and greed of some drug companies conspire to keep solutions away from people who most need it.

I use paper airplanes as my artform; in “Crash” all the codes and messages are blurred together and are viewed as one pile, empowering those who dash the planes at the wall and encouraging them to view all disease as something that must be cured — whoever contracts it, whoever holds the key to it — we have to fight together to make cures accessible for everyone.
