Hijas de Coyolxauhqui (Daughters of Coyolxauhqui) is a cultural retrospective of contemporary art in America by established and emerging Queer Latina artists. This mixed-media group show curated by Mica Valdez will include an in-depth panel discussion of artists in the forefront facilitated by Gina Diaz.

Coyolxauhqui, the Aztec goddess of the sky and the cosmic mother of dualities, represents the moon and the complexity of light and dark within all of us. She is also a symbol of our collective memory and interconnectedness as mujeres (women). In this exhibit, artists will individually recognize and express our past in relation to this present moment in time.

Mica Valdez is a Creating Queer Community Grant Recipient
