| Artist StatementThis series is a documentation of street installations designed to connect with the queer population and to provoke the privileged population that may be a little too comfortable in their “normalcy”. This utilizes well established D.I.Y. methods of signage and tagging as a way of making ones mark in a world that constantly tries to erase or assimilate queer youth. I tried to photograph the installations as fresh as possible so they stood out over the layers of previous graffiti. These stickers will soon enough be covered over or cleaned off and these photographs will be the only record of the underground rebellion. |
