Production and Accessibility Coordinator
Vienna Alvarez (she/her) is a queer Latina DJ, event producer, AV technician and community organizer from the border of Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, CA. She serves as a pillar to the international underground artist community in the U.S. and Mexico. She works with artists, promoters, nightclubs, venues, and community spaces to bridge the gaps between access, the entertainment industry and BIPOC artists communities. As Development Director, Vienna has implemented successful fundraising and donor retention programs for various organizations and artists collectives who uplift Black and Brown queer and trans people. In collaboration with Justice Now and Decarcerate Alameda County, she supported incarcerated artists by finding creative ways to publish & distribute their work. As the Production and Accessibility Coordinator for the Queer Cultural Center, Vienna is supporting the execution of the National Queer Arts Festival, providing logistical and direct support to artists.
