Intercourse: A Sex and Gender Spoken Word Recipe for Revolution. Intersex, Transgender, Transsexual, and Genderqueer People Speak Their Truths is a dynamic evening of performance, connection, and celebration of the intersexed, trans, and genderqueer communities. Using a combination of spoken word, trans, intersexed, and queer histories, food and music, Intercourse will be an event that raises awareness about our worlds and our issues, as well as building bridges within all facets of the queer community.

Invoking the need to bridge the gap between our various communities, Intercourse will use spoken word performance and discourse about sex and gender from those whose very existence questions and challenges societal norms. The event is designed so that we can meet, commiserate, educate, and motivate each other in an environment that embraces our full diversity-not just across gender lines, but across race, class and age barriers as well. Participants in Intercourse come from all corners of our communities, and will include the following: Thea Hillman, Solidad diCosta, Kristi Bruce, Cooper Lee Bombardier, Kassy Kayiatos, Max Valerio, James Green, and Red Jordan Arobateau.
