Dirty Ink Writers Collective

Dirty Ink makes words flesh. We bleed, spit, and come onto the page and read those words back to you, words that hit hard, words that are soft as the most teasing kiss, words that penetrate and leave you raw, words that bruise bone deep.

Dirty Ink, a collective of dyke smut-writers, will be performing Fist. Muscle. Bone. reading their own sordid tales of lusty mayhem. Naomi Azriel, Jen Collins, Firecatcher, Dorian Katz and Renee Rivera come together around a passion for language, voice and indelicate sex. They perform their work to enact the selves they’ve inscribed, bring others into their hot written worlds, and encourage them to misbehave for all it is worth.

Artists

Naomi Azriel is an activist in the sex-worker and peace movements, and an all-around trouble-maker. She came to the Bay Area from Israel 5 years ago, and writes with zeal and passion equaled only by her passion for– well, the erotic experience itself.

Jen Collins is an erotic writer who lives in SF. Her stories have appeared in such anthologies as Set in Stone, Back to Basics, Best Bisexual Women’s Erotica and Best Fetish Erotica. She leads writing workshops (both erotic and not) using the Amherst Writers and Artists method. A surivior of sexual abuse, she is a strong believer in the individually– & socially-transformative power of smut.

FireCatcher is a 45 year old writer of prose, poetry and smut. A survivor of early childhood sexual abuse, she now inhabits a world where words, sex and power collide offering up extreme magic, transformation and beauty.

Dorian Katz’s artwork has been exhibited at the Jon Sims Center, A.I.R. Gallery, PRO Arts, SomArt, City Art Gallery and in “Fresh Meat.” She has curated art shows for various local queer organizatons. Her illustrations have been published in Morbid Curiosity and Tikkun. Her essay “This is a Very Old A Scar,” on surviving a violent assault, appears in the current issue of Morbid Curiosity. Dorian’s pen and ink drawings will be shown at Live Worms Gallery this June.

Renee Rivera has read in the National Queer Arts Festival and has been heard on Outright Radio, a syndicated PRI show on queer life. She has a story in Best Lesbian Erotica 2005.
