It’s big, it’s back, and it’s still FREE! Qcc presents highlights from the 2006 National Queer Arts Festival mixed freely with Free Food and Free Drink! Once again we thank the LGBT Community Center for co-hosting the QBall. Did we mention it’s Free? Ok, sure, we’re going to ask for money once you’re there, but at least we warn you in advance!
Two great visual arts exhibits open at the QBall:
Diwali: a collection of photos that reflect the weekly gatherings and Diwali holiday celebration of a group of MSM (Men who have Sex with Men) in India. This opens at the 3Dollar Bill Café.
Le Vasa: Sea Changes: Samoan-Japanese fa’afafine/transgender performer and conceptual artist Shigeyuki Kihara from New Zealand, joins California-based Samoan painter, poet and filmmaker Dan Taulapapa McMullin for their new collection of conceptual photographs and paintings on the lives of fa’afafine today.

So come on down to the LGBT Community Center Saturday night and open the Pride Season with great artists and performers!
