Andrew Thomas – WAR
Andrew Thomas
The intention of this piece is to consider the process of both individual and collective remembrance. Organized silences when people stop and inhabit a private internal place and meditate loss or personal moments of reflection enable us to transcend day-to-day experience and to consider fundamental elements of our existence. After loss, pain or tragedy these internal reflections create a place in our consciousness to store and process this energy.
This short video piece uses single image slide dissolve to create a moving image. The ghostly figure is caught within this reflective process inviting the audience to join him.
