In The Street (ITS): San Francisco Street Theatre Festival exists to expand performance and visual art beyond the traditional boundaries of walls and place them firmly in the context of the contemporary urban environment. ITS is accessible to all regardless of income level. ITS also strives to foster the growth of street theater in the Bay Area, providing opportunities for local groups to create and perform site-specific outdoor works. ITS is produced each year by Wise Fool Community Arts and The 509 Cultural Center / Luggage Store and is co-presented with the Queer Cultural Center. It continues on Saturday and Sunday, June 5 – 6; Noon – 5 pm on Ellis Street between Leavenworth and Hyde.
