Galería de la Raza teams up with the Queer Latina/o Artists’ Coalition (QueLACo) for a special June installment of Lunadas. San Francisco’s only Latino-based spoken word venue, Lunadas have fast become one of the city’s hidden jewels.  Each month, influenced by the power of Mother Moon, spoken word mystics, organic intellectuals and barrio griots mix stories, music, food and spirits in a community ritual that’s far beyond your typical open mic. Featuring the very best of the Bay Area’s spoken word performers and DJs; Lunadas carve out an open space for hope and strength during these increasingly desperate tines.  Novice performers welcome. Sign up at the door.
