Building Patterns

Although queer artists are an important part of the Bay Area cultural sector, there has been little to no assessment of who constitutes this community, or efforts to create a consolidated artist directory to facilitate collaboration, cooperation, and mutual support.  Join Pam Peniston, Kevin Seaman, and Ernesto Sopprani to discuss collaborative artistic practices and for the initial findings of the first ever Bay Area queer artist survey, Building Patterns.

The Building Patterns project aims to address these issues by providing queer artists, arts organizations, and funders with a high level executive Community Trends Report that details the general trends of queer artists in the Bay Area and a Collaboration directory that lists Bay Area queer artists, their areas of expertise and collaborative interest, and contact information.
